During Oct of 2019 Eastsound Water staff taught a 20 hour course for prospective water system operators. The course attracted 13 students from a wide age range. Meeting Tuesday and Thursday evenings class focused on details of how water systems work, and what water system operators do on a day to day basis. Students took on common math applications, safety and public health standards, and hands on demonstrations. Olga Water and Doe Bay Water provided finanacial support, San Juan County Economic Development provide administration support and Orcas Christian School provided the classroom space.
