At the November meeting of the Eastsound Water Board, $250,000 was approved to replace outdated, undersized water mains in the View Haven neighborhood. The Board further directed staff to complete the project by June of 2017. The existing water mains are 4” and do not support adequate fire hydrant flow in the neighborhood. The new mains will also support a new upper-pressure zone of the 25 homes at the upper elevations of View Haven. During the Spring of 2016, EWUA completed construction of a new water tank to serve this area.
